My name is Jesse Jarvis, and I would consider myself as someone who is paving my own path in this opportunistic world we live in at the present. I am extremely grateful for my independence and work ethic that has gotten me to live the life of my dreams. I attribute my trust in it all to my daily gratitude practice. I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for the support around me that is constant.

I moved to Boise, Idaho right before my birthday in September of 2018 with my partner, Jeff. Prior to that shift, we were living in San Francisco, CA. Both originally from the North East region on the coast, we now find ourselves loving the mountains.

I was raised in a small coastal town in Massachusetts near Cape Cod. Mattapoisett…It’s Special. Which is literally the towns bumper sticker slogan. At 17, I went to college in St. Augustine, Florida and that’s where I met Jeff. We have both enjoyed our fair share of traveling throughout western Europe, India, South Africa, Asia, New Zealand and the UK, to name a few.

I changed the course of my young life at the ripe age of 28. After having spent 6 years in a corporate environment, specializing in planning and executing the production of large—scale events like trade shows and corporate events. I climbed the corporate ladder only to come to the realization that there was more to my life than what I was experiencing. I felt that if I were to feel such high levels of stress in trying to success at my job, I’d rather it be for something I’m creating on my own and in the support of others.

In the beginning of 2015 I made a decision that in one year I would quit my cushy job, fly to India and complete a teaching certification in Yoga. After one year of saving money, changing my habits that initially drove me to clarity (or insanity), I quit my job and flew to India where I completed my first 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certification. I spent 2 months in India, dedicating every waking moment to my own healing. I came back more connected to my true self than ever before. This is now 8 years ago and I am beyond grateful for this courageous move I made.

I was very disconnected from my real Self before I made the decision to change my life. I was stressed, unhealthy, unhappy, overworked, under-appreciated and just tired of life being that way. Through practicing more and more Yoga, I slowly realized that things did not have to be the way they were and I was the only one who could do something about it. I knew that I had the power to change my mind; to follow my heart. I also knew that no matter what, I wouldn’t fail. That is what supported the courage I needed to muster in order to quit my job and make my dream come true. I am grateful for this sense of self empowerment, that helped me to make this life changing decision in my twenties.

Now, just over 8 years later, I am finding myself continuing to strive to live as the real me and not a role I’m good at playing. I find myself feeling motivated to continue to help people, friends, and family to feel more connected with themselves, through Yoga and other healing modalities I have learned through practice along the way. I am now in the business of helping people feel more connected to and better in their bodies.

Soon after I returned to San Francisco after my travels through India in 2016, I found myself presented with the opportunity to guide children from the ages of 2-6 at a Montessori school in San Francisco. These 3 back-to-back 30-minute classes with these littles opened my eyes to a world of teaching Yoga I didn’t know I would love so very much. I am totally a kid at heart and with this light heartedness I bring a fun energy into my classes guiding littles anywhere from the age of 2 - 99 ;) I received my Kidding Around Kid’s Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness training in March of 2018 and love the opportunity to guide littles through movement, breath and body awareness all while having loads of fun!

In early 2020, I shifted, as with most, to a virtual world of teaching Yoga. I navigated this transition with ease and find myself happy to be here, even today. The virtual platform of teaching Yoga, has brought opportunities to me that would not be so readily available, if we did not have the need. I am back supporting one of my friends amazing companies teaching weekly classes for corporate clients and teaching at conferences around the US. I connect to my wide-spread community on a weekly basis through my Monday morning online donation class, as well - which I offer as a way to help make Yoga affordable and accessible. I am able to support both those who feel more comfortable practicing from home and those who want the in-person class experience through my Boise Public Classes offered each week.

I will always be a student on this path of Yoga and in learning more, I’ve found myself fascinated with the bodies mechanics and how we can effectively move these vessels through space. With that, in my guidance through a Yoga practice, I focus a lot on the bodies alignment and our breath connection with movement and in stillness. I hope you will join class soon.

I am on the path, exactly where I am meant to be. I am beyond grateful to be here and I am beyond grateful to be here with you.

Let’s practice.

Love, Jesse
